SUPPORTING HOSPITALS DURING THE FIRST NATIONWIDE DISASTER DECLARATION

The COVID-19 crisis dramatically impacted healthcare facilities across the nation, creating cascading impacts and demonstrating the importance of healthcare and public health in the context of resilient communities. Hagerty has been engaged since the early days of the pandemic in readiness, response, and recovery support to hospitals and healthcare systems at the center of the pandemic. For one client, Hagerty quickly identified the needs of the over 15 partner hospitals, and pivoted to support as needed, including providing cost-recovery services, surge response staff, and strategic advisory support.

Enabling Housing Recovery Following Catastrophic Disasters

Hagerty has been engaged in recovery support to communities across the Panhandle of Florida since the Category 5 Hurricane Michael made landfall in 2018. One of our clients is a public housing authority, who supports provision of critical infrastructure to low-income residents and directly increases the resilience of the community. Hagerty is working with this client to maximize their opportunities for financial recovery through grant management and advisory services. This financial support will be critical to the authority’s  restoration of affordable housing – a critical component of community resilience.
